Baahwa is a Ghanaian visual activist who combines documentary photography and portraiture with alternative photographic processes to explore beauty and the nuances of relationships that shape individual and collective identities.

Her artistic practice is rooted in a commitment to humanize and reclaim narratives that have been silenced or mythified.
