In Stories from the Shadows, I experiment with light, shadows, color, and texture to visually articulate the nuanced ways Ghanaian LGBTQI+ people express queerness and affection in hidden or coded physical and psychological spaces to navigate a society shaped by compulsory heteronormativity and systemic discrimination.
